Advance Polling
October 7 & 14, 2026 at Sooke Council Chamber, 2205 Otter Point Road
Eligibility
- You will be age 18 or older on the general voting day
- You are a Canadian citizen
- You have been a resident of B.C. for at least 6 months immediately before the day you vote (advance or general voting)
- You have been a registered owner of property in the Electoral Area for at least 30 days immediately before the day you vote (advance or general voting);
ID Requirements
If you're already on the voters list
Find voting information, polling locations, important dates, and everything you need to cast your ballot.
- BC Driver's License
- BC Identification Card
- BC Services Card with photo
- Other government-issued photo ID with your name and address
If you're registering when you vote
You will need two pieces of identification, both showing your name and at least one showing your residential address. Examples include:
- BC Driver's License
- BC Identification Card
- Utility bill
- Bank statement
- Property tax notice
- Passport (with another document showing your address)
